Jay Allen began his career at Dow Chemical in 1984 as a process technician for Chlor-Nitrogen and soon moved to Resins Research. In 1987, he moved to the GCO business as a lab technologist for the chlorinated methane’s plant which combined with the Chlorinated Ethane plant in 1992. In 1996, Jay moved to the Trichloroethylene Plant, managing the lab until moving to the Polyurethane’s business in 2003 where he commissioned and then managed the new PMDI manufacturing lab. In 2011 he became the manager of the Polycarbonate lab until it’s decommissioning in 2014. He was then assigned to the Voranol lab for a short time before accepting the lab manager job at Freeport POPG in 2015. Jay lives in Lake Jackson and enjoys his new granddaughter, fishing, scuba diving, art, wine, running and traveling. Join us in congratulating him on this great accomplishment!
